History
Jazz Radio began in Lyon on 10 January 1996, under the name Fréquence Jazz, at 97.3 MHz, founded by Christophe Mahé, and is described as the first French jazz radio station to broadcast twenty-four hours a day. It had a version in Paris, Paris Jazz, which stopped broadcasting in 2002. In June 2008 it adopted the name Jazz Radio, expanded across the country and today has about 45 frequencies in France and Monaco; it belongs to the Espace Group.
