Play 90's is the main channel of Play Radio, which began broadcasting on 1 April 2008 from a studio in a shopping centre in Buzău, Romania, with a team of eight young people. It moved to Constanța in the autumn of that year and, on 31 October 2008, relaunched with its current dance format; at the time it was presented as the first Romanian online radio station and the second in Europe devoted only to 1990s dance. The channel Play HitZ arrived on 26 February 2012 and, in the spring of 2018, was renamed Play Café; Play Urban debuted on 10 May 2021. The station says it won an FM licence in Constanța on 30 June 2022.
