History
RMC, short for Radio Monte-Carlo, began in 1943; one of the sources says it was created on 1 July that year by a Berlin company with French, German and Italian capital, and others give different dates. In 1950 it was one of the founders of the European Broadcasting Union. It was called RMC Info in 2001 and, from 2002, simply RMC, with studios in Paris, and today it describes itself as “Info, talk, sport”. Long-wave broadcasting ended in 2020.
