History
France Info was launched by Radio France on 1 June 1987 and was the first radio network in Europe to broadcast live news twenty-four hours a day. It is credited to Roland Faure, then president of Radio France, and to Jérôme Bellay, who was the first director until 1989. In 2016 the brand came to cover television and the Internet as well, when France Télévisions launched the France Info channel on 1 September.
