History
Iran International is a Persian-language news channel, based in London, which began broadcasting in May 2017 (the date of 19 May is the one given on Wikipedia). It is privately owned, through Volant Media UK, and was presented as the first Persian-language news channel to operate twenty-four hours a day. In 2020 the press reported that, within three years, it had become the most watched of the Persian-language channels, and that its staff in the United Kingdom were being threatened by the Iranian government. Today it broadcasts in Persian, English and Arabic.
